The 5 Most Important Data Capabilities of PaceMate™LIVE
by Jason Hale, CCDS, PaceMate Co-Founder and Vice President of Commercial Excellence
PaceMateLIVE is a single health data management platform that seamlessly interfaces with the nation’s top EHRs—giving doctors and clinicians access to real-time, clinically relevant data. Our ability to connect EHR data is unmatched: We’ve partnered with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to provide storage and query of limitless amounts of EHR-generated and device data. Clinical decision-making is significantly enhanced when we provide practices with the most complete capability to care for their patient population.
Five data capabilities set PaceMateLIVE—a unique software+service platform—apart from other remote monitoring brands.
1. Retrospective Analysis and Data Research
At PaceMate, our customers are able to begin querying and studying their patients’ data on day one. Important data points from the EHR are immediately synced with the PaceMate platform—allowing clinical researchers the opportunity to evaluate and cross-reference clinical data to inform their research. Doctors and nurses use PaceMateLIVE data to publish conference posters and journal articles, giving their cardiology programs valuable recognition and greater opportunity.
2. Randomized Clinical Trials
The PaceMateLIVE analytics platform has been developed entirely in-house by our world-class IT team. Inclusion and exclusion data are a unique and critical function of the PaceMateLIVE platform’s search capabilities. We build customized queries for research departments and clinicians to mine patients who could be included in a randomized clinical trial (RCT). Most recently, PaceMate has built dynamic search tools to identify patients for potential inclusion in the ARTESiA trial (Apixaban for the Reduction of Thrombo-Embolism in Patients with Device-Detected Sub-Clinical Atrial Fibrillation). Sophisticated and nimble patient identification tools living within PaceMateLIVE have proven to be a substantial advantage for our customers in regard to RCT enrollment.
3. Less Patient Leakage
In recent months, the challenge of patient leakage has gained much greater significance—costing cardiology practices and departments significant revenue while also increasing liability due to more unmonitored patients. PaceMate responded by building an easy-to-use dashboard that automatically identifies lost-to-follow-up patients and provides a flexible workflow tool to manage the communication process. Clinicians and their support team can use these tools to more easily identify and reconnect with patients who may have a potential need for office visits or those indicated for additional testing or procedures.
4. Reduced Liability
PaceMate’s platform offers clinics extra protection through its search engine: Patients with the most critical episodes of diagnostic data can be automatically identified via clinical criteria searches and workflow dashboards. Clinicians can seamlessly identify the most recent clinically relevant episode types, diagnoses and medication combinations that could create the most liability. Clinical leaders can use this data to ensure appropriate action is taken for those at the highest risk.
5. Productivity Tracking
PaceMate was created to improve clinical workflows, streamline data processing, and dramatically improve efficiencies. Through PaceMate’s suite of analytics tools, practice administrators can easily track their employees’ activity in the PaceMate software. Our customers use this valuable data to prepare annual budgets, make growth projections, and analyze additional FTE needs.
